Obama-FDRThe White-house has begun, or should I say continued, another Campaign – the “100 City Tour” AKA” Connecting Your Community”.  It is purported to be an initiative to cut red tape and plug communities into the Federal funding streams.   In other words it’s a give-away tour.  It’s the New Deal in a New Age.  This is the “you didn’t build it” apology tour that answers the critics regarding the need of Government to be seen as a generous, caring, rich uncle just stopping by to see how things are and spread a little of our wealth around.

How cool is that!  Except we don’t have enough money to be giving it away, that is unless those stingy, Republicans go along with Obama’s plan to tax the “wealthiest among us” and fleece some more “walking money” from the Democratic Machine.

Don’t think for one minute that these photo “op” tours won’t vilify the Republicans and the Millionaires and Billionaires for causing the poor middle class to have to bear the brunt of current debt and deficit.  What a cool job – traveling around the country, giving away favors and gifts – buying votes and political favors and paybacks!  This is sure a great Country!

A new New Deal? Alas, we should only be so lucky. President Obama is the best President we’ve had in a generation, but we really did need another FDR to overcome the treasonous Republican party.

Well John, I guess the Obama Regime has fallen short of the Tyranny of FDR’s grand national programs, Mandatory wages, attempted padding of the Supreme Court and circumventing of Congress that -according to most economists succeeded in prolonging the Depression’s recovery by years. How is it a necessity for another round of that type of Executive over-reach to overcome the conservative position that we should curtail defect spending and reduce our budget? It actually sounds like common sense and very Patriotic to me?

He’s still waiting for Obama to declare free razor blades a “right.”

Um, no — not only not the consensus among economists, but in fact a partisan Republican myth: http://www.salon.com/2009/01/02/sirota_fdr_depression/
