Just when we thought things could not get any worse…now this. Obama has ordered up a payraise for government workers. We can be quite sure this is a token gift to his loyal union members. In a typical disregard and thumb in the eye for small business and middle class Americans and a thumbs up for government workers we get this…

From the Weekly Standard by way of The Drudge Report we have this little nugget which reflects the regard the current administration has for the typical American.

With the U.S. economy poised on the edge of a so called “fiscal cliff” federal workers are getting a pay raise.¬† This at a time when they are reporting fictitious unemployment numbers in a/their typical smoke and mirrors shell game. Granted the raises might not be much, dollar-wise, but the implication is they, the powers to be, can and will do anything they want and the rest of America can just suffer in silence like it or not.

This is absolutely disgraceful. Especially with the state of the American economy and the plight of American workers who are unemployed or under employed.

      I’m outraged . . . and surprised.

How exactly does the President “order” pay raises for anyone? I recall back in the days when we were still a republic, only Congress had the power of the purse string.

Point well made. I don’t understand how Barry has managed to spend so much in the first place. Like you said and I agree Congress has the power of the purse, or supposed to anyway.
