Obama Demands Israeli Timetable For West Bank Pullout

YNET NEWS – US President Barack Obama has demanded a timetable for an Israeli withdrawal from the West Bank and wants to see a detailed plan from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his upcoming visit to Israel, the World Tribune reported Sunday.

Quoting Israeli sources, the newspaper said the Israeli plan would be considered as part of a US initiative to establish a Palestinian state in the West Bank in 2014.

“Obama has made it clear to Netanyahu that his visit is not about photo-ops, but the business of Iran and a Palestinian state,” a source said. “The implication is that if Israel won’t give him something he can work with, then he’ll act on his own.”

According to the report, Obama’s demand has sparked concern in the Prime Minister’s Office, mainly due to the deadlock in coalition negotiations.

“The Obama people are making this a litmus test of Netanyahu’s leadership and credibility,” the Israeli source said. “Obama supporters in Congress have sent Netanyahu a similar message.”

I think it’s high time Israel pull out of this decades long US brokered negotiation process. It’s obvious that the Palestinians don’t want peace. I remember how Clinton got the PLO everything they ever wanted and Arafat still walked out. Conflict with Israel is their meal ticket. Peace would mean getting jobs.

No, I think Israel should deal with their enemies one on one, blood for blood, bullet for bullet and we’d soon see a resolution because the Palestinians would be forced to surrender unconditionally.

Until the rest of those scumbags joined in. Remember, Israel would have to fight the entire Muslim world.

  2. The two-state solution is a joke, which is as impractical as it is immoral. My position now is no different than in was 10 years ago. The Palestinians are entitled to all of Israel and the Israeli to all of Palestine. The Israeli governments expulsion of Jews from Gaza is no less of a crime than expelling Palestinians from Jerusalem. Ethnically cleansing Jews from the West Bank won’t change the fact that Palestinians will be a significant and growing minority in the State of Israel. if the current state of affairs continues, Israel will cease to exist as a viable state in less than 20 years.

I remember your middle east views was one of the things I was always interested to hear your point of view on way back in the day. Israelis literally have their back to the wall (water) and they are our ally. Unfortunately, we have an administration that views Palestinian terrorist as good and Israelis as occupiers.
      They don’t have many choices.
